{ "abstract": "
A search for Dark Matter produced in association with a single top quark with the CMS experiment was performed.
\nTwo analysis channels are considered, depending on the decay of the top quark.
\nThe leptonic analysis channels the transverse mass as a kinematic variable to distinguish the signal from the Standard Model backgrounds.
\nThe hadronic analysis channel utilizes the hadronic recoil and a sophisticated statistical model in which the main backgrounds are determined in a data-driven way via transfer factors.
\nNo significant deviations from the Standard Model expectations were observed.
\nConsequently, exclusion limits on parameters of the theoretical Dark Matter model were set.
", "author": [ { "family": "Wieland, Sebastian" } ], "id": "22180", "issued": { "date-parts": [ [ 2023, 5, 26 ] ] }, "language": "eng", "title": "Search for Dark Matter produced in association with a top quark in hadronic and leptonic final states with the CMS experiment", "type": "thesis" }
