A search for Dark Matter produced in association with a single top quark with the CMS experiment was performed.
Two analysis channels are considered, depending on the decay of the top quark.
The leptonic analysis channels the transverse mass as a kinematic variable to distinguish the signal from the Standard Model backgrounds.
The hadronic analysis channel utilizes the hadronic recoil and a sophisticated statistical model in which the main backgrounds are determined in a data-driven way via transfer factors.
No significant deviations from the Standard Model expectations were observed.
Consequently, exclusion limits on parameters of the theoretical Dark Matter model were set.
