This is done by attempting to produce simulated data using Delphes which is as close as possible to existing&nbsp;simulations made using GEANT. In the first part, the used simulation tools are reviewed and a&nbsp;workflow which isolates the effect of varying the detector level simulation is devised. In the latter part, deviations between the GEANT-based results and the Delphes-based results are investigated, and an attempt is made to determine their origin and to mitigate them by adjusting the Delphes configuartion. By comparing the deviation between Delphes&nbsp;and GEANT across simulations of different parton level processes (ttbb, ttH and ttZ), the universality of the findings is gauged.<br> <br> A repository with relevant code and configuration files exists under&nbsp;<a href="https://gitlab.etp.kit.edu/cn-cms/ttx-delphes/">https://gitlab.etp.kit.edu/cn-cms/ttx-delphes/</a>.</p></subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Husemann, Ulrich</subfield> <subfield code="u">KIT/ETP</subfield> <subfield code="4">ths</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Waßmer, Michael</subfield> <subfield code="u">KIT/ETP</subfield> <subfield code="4">ths</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Pfeffer, Emanuel</subfield> <subfield code="u">KIT/ETP</subfield> <subfield code="4">ths</subfield> </datafield> <controlfield tag="001">22138</controlfield> <datafield tag="773" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">https://gitlab.etp.kit.edu/cn-cms/ttx-delphes/</subfield> <subfield code="i">isSupplementedBy</subfield> <subfield code="n">url</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="260" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="c">2022-10-31</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">thesis</subfield> <subfield code="b">bachelor-thesis</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="100" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Lelyakin, Sergey</subfield> <subfield code="u">KIT/ETP</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">user-cms</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">user-etp</subfield> </datafield> <controlfield tag="005">20221202162015.0</controlfield> <datafield tag="245" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Monte-Carlo-Simulations for tt+X-Events at the CMS-Experiment</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2=" "> <subfield code="s">24130397</subfield> <subfield code="u">https://publish.etp.kit.edu/record/22138/files/Monte-Carlo-Simulations_for_tt+X-Events_at_the_CMS-Experiment.pdf</subfield> <subfield code="z">md5:afc417fd3aa8e3d47e148cc6819fabce</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Delphes</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Geant</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">Simulation</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">tt+X</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">CMS</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">CERN</subfield> </datafield> </record>
