Studies on boosted ττ and bb pair identification in the NMSSM X → YH analysis

In this thesis, the efficiency of the ParticleNet jet tagging algorithm for the identification of boosted ττ and bb pairs in the NMSSM X → YH analysis is investigated. The products of boosted decays overlap, which poses a challenge for the correct identification of the original particles. Generator-level studies of simulated di-Higgs events based on the CMS detector response are performed and used to learn about the behavior of the ParticleNet algorithm. Various tests on the efficiency of the algorithm and methods to improve it are presented.
