Preparatory studies for a Time-Dependent CP Violation measurement of B0 to pi0 pi0

As a step towards measuring the mixing-induced CP violation parameter, \(S_{\pi0\pi0}\) in \(B^0 \to \pi^0 \pi^0\) decays, this thesis aims to achieve a better separation of photon conversions \(\pi^0 \to \gamma (\to e^ + e^-) \gamma \) and Dalitz decays \(\pi^0 \to e^+ e^- \gamma\) by training and evaluating a BDT.
