Extensions of the Standard Model of Particle Physics such as the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) propose additional particles. The search for production of these particles at the CMS experiment is ongoing. In this thesis a trigger for the search of a signal of NMSSM di-Higgs production at the CMS experiment is selected. This trigger is studied in several reference regions and scale factors for simulated processes are determined.
